Senior Civil Litigation Attorney
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Civil Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic, collaborative law firm specializing in business and civil litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a proven track record in litigation who is eager to take on complex cases and contribute to a strong, growth-oriented team.
Key Responsibilities :
Litigation : Represent clients in all types of business and civil litigation. Strong preference for candidates with trial experience and the ability to manage substantial motions and depositions.
Case Management : Independently manage and lead all phases of civil litigation, including pre-litigation, case initiation, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and appeals.
Client Interaction : Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and exceptional client service.
Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates, offering support in their professional development and contributing to their growth within the firm.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with partners and other senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies, collaborate on complex matters, and maintain a cohesive approach to case management.
Strategic Advice : Provide clients with strategic advice related to litigation risks and dispute resolution, aligning legal strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications :
Trial Experience : Proven experience arguing motions, taking depositions, and leading trial preparation. The ideal candidate is passionate about trial work and confident in representing clients in complex legal proceedings.
Experience : A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, including substantial experience in civil litigation (partnership disputes, fraud, breach of contract, real estate, construction defect, civil harassment, landlord-tenant disputes, and data privacy).
Leadership Skills : Experience mentoring junior associates and supporting a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Education : A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
License : Must be licensed and admitted to the bar in the state of California and in good standing with the bar.
Professionalism : High level of professionalism with the ability to manage complex matters efficiently, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
Interpersonal Skills : Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues.
Cultural Fit : A collaborative and dynamic team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
In-Office Commitment : Must be prepared to work on-site at the firm's office in Sherman Oaks, CA, with some flexibility.
