Database Administrator

Location: IA-Des Moines, Hybrid 3-4 days on site

Responsibilities

• Assist senior DBAs with the day-to-day maintenance of databases
• Assist with the installation and configuration of database software and related tools
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of databases and related objects
• Monitor database performance and alerting senior DBAs to any issues that arise
• Assist with database security and manage user access and permissions
• Assist with backup and recovery procedures
• Develop and maintain database documentation and procedure
  
  

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience
• Degree in computer science or related
• SQL/query knowledge
• Awareness of data structures
• Demonstrated interest in hardware and physical storage/organization aspects of data engineering
• Developing familiarity with database management systems
• Openness/exposure to working in mainframe environments
  
  

The salary range for this role is $62,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
