Job Title: Host/Hostess

SUMMARY
Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.

When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party.

Call out name and number of party when tables become available.

Provide guests with estimated waiting time.

Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.

Seat guest based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.

Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.

Relay messages to servers and bus person as needed.

Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Performs other related duties, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent. One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong work ethic.
Language Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in the English language. Must be able to read and understand items outlined but not limited to the position, training supplement and employee Handbook.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must attend Orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook. Must attend and successfully complete and pass the designated training and testing program. Must successfully attend and complete all other required training.
Uniform Requirements: Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook and individual restaurant uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.
