What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator - Mental Health position at CRF Behavioral Healthcare?
Hours: This is an exempt, salaried position. Work schedule to be determined at the program level.Must be available for 24/7 consultation and program coverage when designated as on call.
Salary: $83,430 per year
Education:Masters degree in a mental health-related field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required
Licensure: License, licensed-eligible or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or Waivered Psychologist required.

As Program Coordinator II, you will:
- Support the Program Director and Assistant Program Director with the responsibilities of managing many aspects of the regular program operations.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to clients in individual and group modalities in a timely and professional manner,
- Provide supervision and manage performance of all assigned staff. Review client service time metrics to ensure staff are meeting targets and beds are filled in accordance with County contract.
- Direct program operations in the absence of other program leadership; acts as admission coordinator and team lead.
- Direct and monitor client care by overseeing referrals, assessments, ongoing counseling and medication.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working with persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders required
- CPR/First Aid certification is required and must be kept current during employment
- Supervisory experience in a crisis center is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a clinical environment
- Ability to maintain calm demeanor in crisis situations is essential
- Bilingual Spanish preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task and have keen attention to detail are necessary
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to pass criminal/background clearance

Del Sur Crisis Center is one of our Short Term Acute Residential Treatment (START) programs that provides intensive, community-based crisis residential services for adults throughout San Diego County. They deliver a unique alternative to psychiatric hospitalization to clients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis of such magnitude so as not to be manageable on an outpatient basis. Their services are provided in a home-like environment that specializes in the psychosocial rehabilitation of each individual.
