Position Overview
The “Accounts Receivable Clerk” is responsible for servicing internal and external customers by compiling and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records and to ensure payments are posted in a timely manner for services or goods that were provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process daily sales edits, coordinating with Sales Team
- Apply customer payments, credits and adjustments
- Reconciliation of daily postings to the bank statement
- Initiate calls to customers pertaining to payment issues
- Create and maintain documentation of a key processes and activities within individual scope of responsibility
- Identify recommend and implement process improvement initiatives to drive simplicity, automate, remove non-value-added work, and standardize processes
- Comply with all CRH procedures, policies, and documentation requirements; while maintaining SOX Compliance
- Cross train in other areas of AR
- The ability to handle and organize a large volume of emails daily and responding in a timely manner
- Multiple applications running at the same time to achieve all tasks (able multitask)
- Problem solving to understand billing issues and working with others to make sure the customers Invoices are correct and accurate.
- Other work as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Able to work independently with a heavy emphasis on attention to detail
- Able to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment or independently
- Communication is critical in this position – working with both the Sales & Finance Teams
- Able to handle and organize a large volume of emails daily and responding in a timely manner
- Able to respond to stressful situations, co-workers, and customers in a professional, courteous manner
- Able to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check
Education/Experience
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three years related experience
