Summary

This is a skilled position involving the preparation of quantity estimates using material, labor and overhead costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must receive jobs and provide complete and accurate bids in a timely manner.

Will track and adjust quantities through all phases of the project.

Regular visits to the field will be required to verify completed and remaining quantities and to monitor project progress.

Will work with sub-contractors and other customers to help ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and / or ability required. Education and / or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related field is preferred.

One to three years construction estimating experience is preferred; or an equivalent of education and experience will be accepted.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend detailed and involved instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software.

Previous use of estimating software is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Standard Driver’s License is required.
