Position Overview
Drive company owned vehicle to various locations transporting internal/external mail, and office supplies. This role is a safety sensitive role as it requires driving a company owned vehicle and transporting cash received from various locations. Provide administrative support in day-to-day office management. The person will conduct the role in an effective, confidential, and efficient manner, while demonstrating strong customer focus.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Follow safety guidelines while driving company owned equipment as needed to distribute internal/external mail and other office supplies.
- Maintain clean vehicle interior and exterior.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment when on-site. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
- Follow directions of Foreperson at each specific site or location as directed by Manager.
- Perform daily pre-and-post inspections on company owned equipment in compliance with company policies.
- Greet walk-in traffic and direct to appropriate area.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to customers, co-workers, supervisors, and the public always.
- Reliable, regular On-Time Attendance is required and essential to the operation of the team.
- Prepare and deposit payments received daily.
- Provide administrative & clerical support to all managers as needed.
- Responsible for upkeep and care of work area.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
- Minimum high school or general education degree (GED) required.
- Previous related experience in the construction field, preferably in or closely related to delivering ready mix concrete.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Demonstrate close attention to all details.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Work Requirements
- Must be 18 years in age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as per company policy.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Must maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements.
- Available to work overtime when necessary.
- Report to work at designated start time and work required hours.
- Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
Physical Requirements

- Able to communicate effectively with others by telephone, electronic correspondence, and in person.
- Able to utilize a computer for word processing, e-mail communication, and preparation of documents and presentations.
- May require sitting for extended periods of time.
- May require occasional lifting of objects up to 10 lbs. or using exertion forces of pushing/pulling of up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs using three points of contact.
Work Environment
- Ability to work in a standard office environment such as a multi-function copier, fax, scan, mail sorting and multi-line telephone.
- Dust: airborne particles of any kind such as dust.
- Hazards: closeness to moving mechanical parts; slipping while ascending/descending ladder; exposure to high temperatures during the summer and cold temperatures during the winter.
- Protection: required to wear hard hat, safety glasses (prescription or non-prescription) with side shields.
