Job Summary

National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking an Electrician. The ideal candidate for this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. There is a $1500 sign-on bonus for this position with the first $750 paid after the first 3 months of continuous employment and another $750 paid after 6 months of continuous employment.

Job Responsibilities

• Install electrical devices such as limit switches, lights, encoders, e-stops

• Pull wire and make terminations of the complete electrical system for equipment

• Ability to troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC’s

• Troubleshoot controls, troubleshoot wiring issues

• Install and wire new equipment per electrical drawings

• Ability to perform light mechanical work, and able to work independently

• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma / equivalent or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience

• At least 4 years of electrical experience preferred

• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and electrical schematics

• Testing electrical components with various meters to detect short, worn out or weak components and defective connections

• Ability to understand and apply basic math skills

• Ability to use power hand tools, tape measure, etc.

• Working experience of voltages up to 480

• Journeyman electrical license preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $27 - $40/hr
