Position Overview
This position is responsible for the operation of excavator / breaker to enhance production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA / OSHA / DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
Conduct daily safety assignments (workplace exam, pre-shifts, JSA's, TRACK, etc.).
Perform pre-shift inspections on equiment.
- Perform maintenance on equipment, such as fueling, lubricating, cleaning, and reporting faulty equipment to Supervisor
- Operate front-end loader, and other equipment as needed.
- Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material.
- Assist with plant repairs & plant maintenance, such as cleaning up in and around the plant & quarry as directed.
- Help with stone, concrete, asphalt, and shingle plants as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel as needed to Millard, Fiddlers, East Petersburg, Landisville.
Requirements
Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Able to work independently with attention to detail.
- Able to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment.
- Able to respond to stressful situations and customers in a professional, courteous manner.
- Ability to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines.
- Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Current driver's license is required.
