Position Overview
An Accounting and Finance Intern will be given the opportunity to work with a vertically integrated company and experience multiple aspects of the business relative to Accounting.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Working with company staff to determine solutions to common issues.
- Provide clerical support and assist staff with data entry, month-end closings, and reconciliations.
- Learn and assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education and Experience
Working towards a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting from a college or technical school.
Language Skills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The employee must regularly lift and / or move more than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to wet, humid condition airborne particles, and extreme heat or cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, but may require protective equipment at some facilities.
