Job Description

This role oversees the maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery. It involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing and performing diversified maintenance operations on plant production and facility equipment, adhering to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes to support business goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performs scheduled preventative maintenance activities on machines, equipment and plant facilities as well as emergency and unscheduled repairs to optimize plant performance and operating efficiency.
* Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services.
* Operates a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned.
* Welds and uses cutting torch as required.
* Performs general repairs to plant structures.
* Keeps work area clean and orderly.
* Replaces faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls and circuit boards.
* Installs equipment and electrical components and tests to ensure proper functioning.
* Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable training, education or experience.
* Technical or vocational school certification or equivalent in training or experience.
* Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step instructions.
* Essential mechanical aptitude and ability.
* Experience working with PremierTech and Hamar manufacturing lines is required.
* Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry or related field is preferred.
