Seasonal F&B Supervisor - The Ahwahnee Hotel - Yosemite

Job Description

Schedule work assignments and supervise all food and beverage outlet service staff, cashiers, baristas, and food service utility personnel. Ability to effectively communicate with employees, guests, and vendors and handle guest complaints diplomatically. Hold strong working relationship with kitchen management and kitchen staff to maintain food quality, presentation and flow of product. Assist with scheduled F&B inventories. Ability to work varied schedules depending on dining outlet needs.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 to $21.00.  If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Schedule work assignments for and supervise food and beverage personnel as necessary to insure adequate staffing at all times.
• Work effectively with other departments.
• Organize and orchestrate a variety of special events, develop action plans with new ideas, procedures or products.
• Motivate employees to ensure proper production standards and ensure that dining room is clean and appealing at all times.
• Take charge when unforeseen complications arrive and maintain a positive attitude during stressful situations.
• Maintain professional appearance.
• Write department schedules and complete weekly payroll to ensure associates are paid accurately.
• Assist in quality assurance and sanitation inspections.
• Perform monthly bank audits on any cash handlers
• Train new staff on proper procedures and job tasks
• Assist manager with hiring as needed
• Assist with employee concerns or customer complaints during assigned shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak English.
• Knowledge of cashiering, hosting, food preparation, bussing, and serving required.
• Ability to pass food handlers, Serv-Safe, and TIPS certifications.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including evening hours, weekends, and holidays
• Comfortable with computers and Point of Sales systems.
• Valid driver’s license preferred
