Job Summary

At CRH we are the leading provider of innovative solutions to the construction industry, working with customers to make construction safer, simpler and more sustainable. To help drive CRHs strategy around solutions, we are looking for a manager that will help us explore new market verticals, support us in customer journey mapping and help us create solutions that solve customers’ challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solutions engineers, strategy & development, company management, across Americas.

Job Responsibilities

Support with exploring key strategic verticals (e.g. roads, water, energy), assess CRH’s capabilities and identify future opportunities
Work closely with colleagues in cross-functional working groups to design and execute our solutions strategy
Support CRH Americas leadership team with ad-hoc strategic projects
Complete customer journey and value chain mapping exercises
Engage with customers to understand their specific needs, challenges and goals
Work closely with solutions engineers, product managers and technical teams to develop and scale solutions
Support the operations with commercializing and operationalizing new solutions
Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics and competitive landscape within key verticals
Travel around 20-25%
Other duties as assigned

Ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships - recognizing the unique organizational needs of various business units

Ability to obtain data / information and analyze that information to understand and communicate opportunities to relevant key stakeholders

Ability to independently analyze strategies and able to articulate CRH’s strategy and value proposition

Culturally and commercially sensitive – developing strong relationships

Great collaborator with the ability to bring teams together

Comfortable working across different markets, customers and products

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Economics, Engineering, Architecture or related field or equivalent experience (MBA or Masters preferred)

3 years’ experience in consulting, business development, customer enablement or sales

Experience / familiarity with building materials, construction or related is preferred

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer centric approach

Track-record in commercialization (launching) of new products, services is a plus

Proven track record of managing projects and working in cross-functional teams

Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional team environment
