Position Overview
Lead and manage company in all aspects of safety, operations, sales, finance, equipment and critical support functions with primary responsibility for ensuring effective execution of company operational performance and growth strategy. Competency requirements include business acumen, customer focus, developing direct reports, drive for results, strategic agility and building effective teams. The preferred candidate can lead and motivate within a safe team environment.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Promote a safe working culture for all employees; work with safety and field personnel to minimize risk and increase safety for employees at all times.
- Responsible for daily operations including safe production, quality, customer focus and maintaining the integrity of the safety and environmental systems within company's operations.
- Drive operational performance and improvements to meet or exceed company and regional goals.
- Generate and manage the operating budget for the fiscal year under the direction of the President.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
- Build effective teams and develop (direct reports) for future opportunities.
- Lead team in personal performance management, training and development, succession planning and effective recruiting and hiring.
- Ensure that all crews have the tools and training to operate safely at all times and that all federal, state and local laws concerning safety, environment and other applicable areas are adhered to.
- Monitor / control construction through administrative direction of the superintendents to ensure projects are built safely, on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Provide advice and support to team during the job bidding process.
- Management of Capital Expenditure Projects for assigned area.
- Work with the President to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.
- Contribute to the leadership and direction in sales and marketing efforts resulting in maximum product sales, meeting or exceeding customer expectations, and driving maximum profitability.
- Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
