Bilingual SUD Detox Manager (English / Spanish)
CRI-Help is a substance use disorder treatment center with several locations across Los Angeles County. The Bilingual SUD Detox Manager (English / Spanish) provides leadership and supervision to detox staff, and assists the Director of Nursing with daily operations of the Detox department.

Basic Functions
- Provide leadership and supervision to detox staff. Assist Director of Nursing with daily operations of department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare work schedules for Detox Technicians.
- Coordinate training schedule for Detox Support Technicians.
- Keep an accurate record of staff physicals.
- Conduct monthly department meetings.
- Assist with Detox Unit tasks, when necessary
- Report any safety/security infractions or trouble areas to Director of Nursing.
- Report all changes to clients’ medical status to Director of Nursing.
- Complete all necessary client documentation (such as logs, maintenance reports, incident reports, etc.)
- Maintain “Admit / Discharge Book.”
- Order supplies: UA, Medical, Kitchen and Food Orders, Office Supplies, Cleaning Supplies, Linen Orders and other unit supplies.
- Maintain accurate record of detox client stats.
- Ensure technicians are keeping current with follow up surveys.
- Monitor Paychex, and make sure employees clock in and out as directed.
- Review Detox Client Charts and Medication Administration Record for errors, daily, and counsel staff as needed.
- Review Assessment and Care Coordination notes (physical, medications, and SAPC video), to make sure they are completed in a timely manner and accurately.
- Make sure the unit does not run out of needed items and documents, including but not limited to wristbands, intake packets, commissary slips, property slips, and forms utilized on the unit.
- Keep track of client physicals, updating the White Board on a regular basis.
- Ensure employees are keeping up with compliance requirements.
- Make sure that all Detox Support Technicians complete all items from their shift on their checklists.
- Adhere to all CRI-Help policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with Director of Nursing, health care team members and physicians.
- Assist with discharge planning, as instructed by the Director of Nursing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
Skills / Knowledge Required
- Must be Bilingual (English / Spanish).
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have excellent client relation skills.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Must be able to identify patterns common to alcoholics and addicts.
- Must be able to successfully accept direction from supervisor, respond positively to supervision, and modify behavior in response to supervision, as needed.
Education / Training
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be certified or registered with CCAPP, CAADE or CADTP.
- Must have unexpired classroom CPR / First Aid Training certification.
Experience
- Must have at least 5 years of qualifying job experience.
Working Conditions
- Frequently remain in stationary position, standing and / or sitting for 6-8 hours.
- Frequently crouch below the waist and / or above the shoulders.
- Frequently lift and / or move objects up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally push and / or pull objects up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally operate motor vehicles.
- Occasionally work at various locations across Los Angeles County.
Special Conditions
- Must be willing to undergo random drug screenings.
