Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our Office Coffee Service (OCS) team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service while interacting directly with our clients. You will be responsible for driving a company truck to customer accounts, restocking inventory, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and tracking equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and secure payments from COD customers, monitor product par levels, and address customer concerns.
- Interact courteously with customers and co-workers, actively seeking and reporting feedback on service quality. Act on negative feedback and provide praise for positive feedback.
- Verify products before departure from the warehouse and load additional products and supplies onto the truck.
- Drive to customer locations, unload the truck, and distribute items as directed.
- Properly stock pantry and coffee areas at customer locations.
- Check product expiration dates and inspect for damage.
- Ensure equipment is in good working condition and ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed at customer locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory tracking using a tablet.
- Ensure products are priced correctly for customers.
- Monitor product usage and adjust orders based on data.
- Handle perishable products appropriately, maintaining refrigeration as per company standards.
- Secure cash and company property, ensuring vehicles are locked and funds are stored safely.
- Unload trash from the vehicle, perform daily operational checks, and maintain truck logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Accomplish special tasks assigned by the OCS Supervisor, such as product procurement and inventory control.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
- Comply with PPE, COVID-19, and safety protocols as required by each location or account, ensuring all relevant procedures are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to the Rochester warehouse (company truck provided for routes).
- Ability to use computers, iPads, and GPS technology.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background and driving history check.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, when interacting with managers and customers.
- Strong sense of navigation in high-traffic areas and challenging weather conditions.
Skills:
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail in inventory management and product tracking.
- Ability to operate a hand truck and lift/push a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Full range of motion in upper and lower extremities.
- Knowledge of product handling and safety standards for perishable items.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in work and customer environments.
- Problem-solving skills for resolving customer issues and ensuring smooth operations.
