Building and Grounds Technician

Position Summary

Assist in keeping the building and grounds around the facility orderly and clean.

Position Responsibilities

• Crider, Inc. requires all employees to comply with and support all Food Safety and Quality policies, programs and procedures to ensure our products meet and exceed consumers’ expectation.
• General labor and landscaping duties.
• Picks up trash around the facility and take it to the dumpsters.
• Rack and clean the smoking area.
• Picks up trash around the haciendas.
• Takes care of trash, grill and surroundings at the conference center.
• Mow and trim the grounds around the plant, haciendas, conference center, Long Leaf, and cabin.
• Occasionally washes down dock areas.
• Move employee furniture as needed.
• Various jobs that occur throughout the day.

Essential Skills and Experience

Ability to work unsupervised and limited mechanical skills.

Preferred Relevant Skills and Experience

Georgia driver’s license

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Able to walk and stand, use arms and legs for long periods of time including wrist turning and finger manipulation.
• Employee stands frequently with tasks requiring consistent bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling to complete; Lift, carry and push/pull occasionally of up to 50 pounds is required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme temperature conditions.
• Job locations can be consistently 40 degrees or below.
• The noise levels at work are moderate to loud and hearing protection is required.
