Summary
As Fire Alarm Technician at Crime Intervention Alarm, you will be responsible for testing, repairing, and inspecting fire detection systems. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of two years of experience in fire protection systems and holds a minimum Level II NICET certification (or can obtain it within the first six months of employment). Troubleshooting and programming experience is required. You will be provided a company vehicle, fuel card, tools, laptop, and cellphone. Responsibilities
- Performs installation, programming, repairs, testing, and inspection of fire detection and signaling systems.
- Completes all services following manufacturer instructions, related codes/standards, and company policies and procedures.
- Communicates discrepancies, necessary system repairs, and other important issues to the company and the customer.
- Maintain accurate and detailed service tickets.
- Follows up to ensure that suggested repairs to systems are performed.
- Markets FA services to existing and potential customers
- Solve complex technical problems using solid troubleshooting skills to isolate faults and make repairs.
- Commits to work until obligations are met, which may result in overtime.
- Completes continuing education necessary to maintain current certifications and/or licenses as required for position.
- Adheres to ALL company standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in fire protection systems, plus
- Minimum Level II NICET certification in desired field required (or the ability to obtain Level II within the first 6 months of employment)
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in fire alarm system installation or related fields.
- Strong proficiency with power tools and hand tools relevant to installation tasks.
