Role Description
Crimson Therapy Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a contract-based, on-site role at our Newnan, GA location. As an SLP, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients. You will collaborate closely with children and their families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that foster communication, language, and swallowing skills. This role requires a patient-centered approach, a commitment to professional growth, and the ability to work as part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
- Provide evidence-based speech therapy services to children with various diagnoses, including dysphagia, autism spectrum disorder, and language delays.
- Implement and integrate Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices into therapy plans, as needed, to support non-verbal or minimally verbal children.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment goals and strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate and support families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers on strategies to facilitate communication and language development at home.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, ABA therapists, and educational professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated on the latest research and techniques in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Clinical Certification (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or Clinical Fellowship Year (CYF) eligibility.
- Proven experience in pediatric speech therapy, including working with children with autism, communication disorders, language delays, and dysphagia.
- Proficiency in using and implementing AAC devices in therapy.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients and families.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop effective, individualized treatment plans.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional growth.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment while also working independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a clinical setting or outpatient pediatric therapy.
- Familiarity with a range of therapeutic modalities and intervention techniques for speech and language development.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus.
