Qualifications
Must have the ability to stay standing or active during entire shift and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Work performed both in and out of the facility that requires lifting, bending, twisting, stooping. Must be capable of working in a variety of temperatures, both cold and hot. Must demonstrate safe work ethics.
Reports to: Plant Manager
Hours Of Work
40 hours per week.
Clothing
Safety glasses, hard soled boots, company uniform, cut resistant gloves. Other PPE may be designated based on working condition or position.
Performance Responsibilities
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Understand recycling sorting policies, procedures, guidelines and practices.
- Empty recycling bins, trailers, and containers.
- Able to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work.
- Dependability
- Able to recognize problems, determine causes, and take appropriate action for resolution.
- Able to work independently
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Performance Responsibilities
- Loading/Unloading trailers of empty pallets, gaylords and reverse vending equipment using a forklift.
- Unloading bags of un-flattened plastic or aluminum containers, dragging bags up to 150 feet.
- Dumping plastic bags containing un-flattened containers into a container flattener and/or container counter.
- Auditing container counts of bags containing plastic or aluminum.
- Auditing counts of containers being removed from route trucks.
- Operating forklifts, forklift rotators, pallet jacks, and other equipment on a daily basis.
- Sorting a variety of recycled material such as glass, aluminum plastic, etc.
