DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER ADVOCATE
PART-TIME
CRISIS CENTER FOUNDATION
Agency: The Crisis Center Foundation provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence in Morgan, Cass, Scott and Green Counties in Central Illinois.
Position Summary: Answer crisis hotline, provide direct services to victims of domestic violence, including crisis intervention, safety planning, emotional support, general advocacy, referral, and domestic violence education.
Crisis Hotline: Assess the needs of the caller and service eligibility. Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, safety planning, and referrals.
Shelter Advocate: Welcome and orient new residents to shelter including completing Intake, review of Communal Living Guidelines and Safety Procedures. Provide crisis intervention, counseling/emotional support, life skills and general advocacy. Follow all safety and security procedures for emergency shelter.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent.
Schedule: Evenings, overnights, all shifts on weekends and holidays.
Other: Must have reliable transportation. Valid identification. Ability to pass required pre-employment criminal fingerprint and other background checks.
Compensation: $20 per hour
