Position Title : Warm Line Mentor
Reports to : Warm Line Supervisor
Job Type : On call openings (two positions); Non-exempt
Schedule : On call shifts are 8 : 30am-3 : 30pm & 2 : 30pm-10 : 30pm : Shift support will include; vacation and leave of absence coverage, call-outs, and special training or other projects. Shifts will be available with advance notice and last minute. The minimum expectation will be 2 shifts / month but likely there will be more available.
Pay Rate : $26.53 / hour
Location : Onsite in Seattle, WA
Union Representation : OPEIU Representation
Training : Flexible but includes mandatory Saturdays 1-5pm

POSITION SUMMARY
- Answer Warm Line calls
- Act as primary support to volunteer phone workers as they answer calls, supporting during escalated and difficult calls.
- Work one to three shifts per week as the Shift Mentor
- Acclimate new Warm Line Phone Workers during their apprentice period through support, guidance and debriefing
- Help debrief calls with all peers on shift
- Quality assurance review of calls and sign off as appropriate
- Meet every 2 weeks with the Warm Line Supervisor to check in and debrief role as a mentor and discuss options
- Participate in Warm Line trainings as a role play mentor on Saturdays as needed
- Participate in ongoing continuing education events and activities
- Contribute to the development of shift comradery through discussions and activities
- Practice the promotion of self-autonomy for callers and volunteers, supporting continued growth and recovery journeys
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED :
Working Conditions : Individuals in this position should be able to sit or stand for lengthy periods of time. Individuals will need to be able to wear a headset or earphones as they take calls and attend meetings. Individuals will need to manage several IT / software platforms at once and be able to function in an environment with moderate noise and distraction.

Requirements
Computer Skills Assessment : Crisis Connections requires a basic Computer Skills assessment to measure computer literacy and skills. The assessment is approximately 15 minutes in length, and timed. HR will provide a link to complete the test after screening qualified candidates.
