Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma with 2-3 years related experience in security services and safety skills training. Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred. Good observational and problem-solving skills. Must have a valid security license and ability to pass a background check.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for greeting organizational clients and visitors, providing direction and security services for the organization. Will provide data entry work while stationed at the lobby desk. Will implement the safety and security procedures for CCM. Responsible for monitoring surveillance cameras, conducting perimeter checks both inside and outside of the building on a regular basis and providing security services when needed.
HOURS OF WORK: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
CLASSIFICATION OF EMPLOYMENT: Non-Exempt
SUPERVISED BY: Director of Client Services
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Volunteers
A. Nurture volunteers.
B. Consult with the Director of Client Services regarding any volunteer concerns.
II. Client Services
A. Assist with Client Choice Food Pantry when needed.
B. Manage and produce reports from Client Services database by the 10th of each month.
III. Security & Safety Manager
A. Unlock the front door of building each morning and afternoon at the beginning of service hours and lock doors at noon.
B. Greet visitors and clients entering the lobby between the hours of 9 AM-10:30 AM, and 1 PM-2:30 PM, helping the front desk receptionist when needed, guiding clients to appropriate areas of the ministry.
C. Monitor security surveillance cameras on an ongoing basis.
D. Conduct regularly scheduled perimeter surveillance checks both inside and outside the building.
E. Close building – Make sure all volunteers have exited the building and check all exit doors are locked.
F. Intervene, when needed, should inappropriate behavior occur on the ministry’s premises. Determine when a call is to be made to enforcement authorities.
G. Record and maintain all incident reports.
IV. Technology
A. Provide data entry work for food pantry assistance given.
V. Other Responsibilities
A. Participate on Board committees as needed.
B. Participate in volunteer engagement by encouraging prospective and current volunteers, showing appreciation to our volunteers, and holding our volunteers accountable.
C. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
