The Finance Business Intelligence Analyst will work with stakeholders and Product Owners to understand asks, document requirements, and build business intelligence (BI) solutions that generate valuable insights to drive business growth and optimize workflows. This role will oversee the overall data-hygiene governance, processes, and workflows based on business and technical requirements needed to channel data from multiple inputs, routing appropriately, and storing data using any combination of distributed (cloud) structures, local databases, and other applicable storage forms as required. - Build accurate and repeatable reporting deliverables with reporting and visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Excel based on the business case.
- Collaborate with Technology Services and Finance teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
- Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues. A natural curiosity about reported data is critical.
- Create documentation for newly generated reports and update existing documentation for planned enhancements.
- Promote work-stream visibility by collaborating with team members.
- Utilize repositories to track versioned report enhancements.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in information science, data science, information technology, information systems, mathematics, or a related field
- Experience working with data wrangling in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with BI tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
- Experience working with data analysis, data profiling, report writing and development, dashboards, and BI toolsets
- Experience working with Scrum and Agile frameworks
- Experience analyzing data from various sources and formats, and applying data insights to cleanse and transform data into a standardized format
- Knowledge of SQL writing, queries, and views
- Experience working with Python, PowerShell, or equivalent scripting language
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Framework including Power Automate
- Experience working with Cloud Data platforms and concepts including Azure and Snowflake
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and processes
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize efficiently
- Ability to work independently and a member of a multi-function team
