The Role:
The Product Owner (PO) will work with the scrum team to create, maintain, and optimize essential software to provide exceptional user experiences. The PO is responsible for collaborating with peers, stakeholders, and leadership teams to maximize value through careful selection and prioritization of work that aligns with business initiatives. This role will have autonomy and decision-making responsibilities that is imperative in helping fortify the foundation of CPI’s globally growing business. This position will work as part of a high integrity and success-driven team, will admit mistakes and take corrective action quickly (fail fast), and be diligent in providing the best solutions while meeting deadlines.
What You Get To Do Everyday:
- Customer-Centric: Create exceptional user experiences and solve customer problems through innovative software solutions.
- Product Roadmap: Assist with creating and implementing the product roadmap, including developing and delivering objectives and key results (OKRs) for key initiatives.
- Backlog Prioritization: Translate customer and stakeholder needs into prioritized backlogs with well-defined acceptance criteria, making data-driven decisions for incremental value-add and iterative development.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
You Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in design or related field or equivalent work experience
- Three years or more of work experience building or supporting software products
- Three years or more of work experience as a product manager, digital project manager, product owner, business analyst, or consultant with experience in software delivery
- Three years or more of experience working in a cross-functional environment across Software Engineering, User Experience (UX), Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support teams
- Experience with agile frameworks, design thinking methodology, and user-based design approaches
- Experience with reporting tools and analysis; including product analytics tools like Pendo
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to translate customer needs into actionable product requirements
- Familiarity with software development processes and technologies, especially web applications and integrations
- Knowledge of microservices, integrations, and software development best practices
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
