Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for our US-based team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is responsible for managing payroll processes across three payrolls, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all payroll-related functions. This is a hands-on role that will require both strategic oversight and day-to-day operational management. The Senior Payroll Manager will also have one direct report and will collaborate closely with internal teams and external providers.
What You Will Do
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for three payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Manage and develop one direct report, providing guidance and support in all payroll-related matters.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
Partner with finance, HR, and external payroll providers to enhance payroll processes and resolve any issues.
Manage payroll-related reporting, audits, and reconciliations.
Oversee payroll tax filings, benefit deductions, and other statutory requirements.
Lead process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation in payroll functions.
Support payroll-related inquiries from employees and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with legal and company requirements.
Stay up to date with payroll legislation and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
What You Will Bring
8 years payroll experience along with 3 years supervisory experience.
Proven experience in payroll management, ideally within a multi-entity or multi-country environment.
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Experience with payroll systems and software, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes. Dayforce a plus and experience with system migrations are highly valued.
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong leadership and people management experience.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
