What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver - Full time 7am - 7pm position at Crisp Regional?
Position Summary :
Under the leadership of the Director, Blackshear Villa, the Care Specialist is an active member of the medical office staff that collects data, provides comfort measures and basic care to patients. The Care Specialist works under close supervision and according to specific instructions performing a variety of basic patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. The Care Specialist is responsible for providing care that is appropriate for the patient's developmental age and is culturally sensitive.
Basic Qualifications :
- Education :
Requires a high school diploma or a GED state certification with additional vocational training as a Care Specialist
Requires the state required TOFHLA literacy test.
Requires up to six months of work-related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Requires and maintains certification in BLS. (If BLS verification is not current upon hire, it must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.)
Requires and maintains a current and valid driver's license and proof of insurance. A Motor Vehicle Report is required upon hire and reviewed annually.
Requires the passing of the Proxy Caregivers training and testing within 90 days of hire.
