Job Summary
The Deputy General Counsel assists the General Counsel in advising the CRISP Shared Services' Senior Leadership Team on legal implications and potential issues pertaining to the operation of the Company's business. They collaborate on company strategies and their implementation, negotiate and structure partner agreements, and manage operational issues.
CRISP Shared Services is an innovating, entrepreneurial, technology company. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Deputy General Counsel ensures that CSS navigates legal issues carefully.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Serve as a collaborative legal resource to the company's departmental heads, including Privacy and Security, Technology, HIE Projects, People Operations, Finance, and Administration
- Draft and negotiate both small and large contracts with customers, technology vendors, and governmental entities
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, including employment and not-for-profit regulations
- Provide legal and policy guidance and requirements for new and existing technology, access controls, and user monitoring
- Work collaboratively with privacy officers from other organizations to manage and resolve privacy and user access issues
- Monitor emerging federal regulations affecting industry sector; draft comments on proposed federal regulations representing company and its HIE partners
- Provide general HIE knowledge and expertise to advise Company's HIE Partners in various states and territories
- Assist the General Counsel in managing governance bodies CRISP Shared Services entities
