CRISP Shared Services (CSS) serves as the technology partner for health information exchange (HIE) affiliates in Maryland, DC, West Virginia, Connecticut, Alaska, Virginia and other jurisdictions. CSS facilitates the electronic transfer of clinical information between disparate information systems in order to positively impact the healthcare system through improved patient care and outcomes, reduced costs, and data-driven understanding of regional public health concerns.

Job Summary

CSS is seeking an experienced Product Manager with a proven track record of defining, implementing, releasing, and improving products with an emphasis on ownership of the full product lifecycle. They will join a team responsible for developing and delivering mission critical software applications and data platforms for one of the nation's leading health information exchanges and health data utilities.

The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, will have a strong attention to detail, demonstrate the ability to coordinate work across a number of stakeholders, and most of all - will drive ideation, development, adoption, and utilization of products that have real world impact on healthcare delivery.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define the product strategy and direction, using product artifacts that include but are not limited to personas, user stories, product roadmaps, supporting presentations, product collateral and requirements.
  • Research and understand how services are used, identify user-feedback groups, gather feedback from users, and leverage user knowledge to inform feature development and product direction.
  • Take ownership of business processes, product development, and overall success of the product lifecycle across multiple development, DevOps teams and stakeholder groups internal and external to the organization.
  • Ensure the success of the user experience with the full product life cycle as well as feature development through deployment and operational support.
  • Work with multiple, diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts from different backgrounds (clinical, business, technical) to identify viable product features and product vision.
  • Participate in the software and data development lifecycle and work well with peers.
  • Manage priorities and requests in an organized manner using clear communication and setting expectations.

  • Ability to identify, initiate and execute product development strategies and manage full product lifecycle.
  • Ability to rapidly conduct user research, discern user aspirations and recognize value propositions.
  • Ability to rapidly discern problem statements and facilitate discussions with stakeholders to ascertain underlying drivers and motivations.
  • Proficiency in creating product vision, facilitating cross-team collaboration, and responding to opportunities.
  • Experience (preferred) or familiarity with Agile / Scrum methods and projects : stakeholders, scope, schedule, quality, and communication.
  • Familiarity of product artifacts such as personas, user stories, customer journeys, product roadmaps and metrics.
  • Critical thinking, research, and analysis skills along with a creative, inquisitive, and open mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.
  • Ability to design and craft compelling communication artifacts leading stakeholders to decisions and direction.
  • Ability to work amongst multiple, differing stakeholders and subject matter experts from diverse backgrounds (clinical, business, technical) and perspectives.
  • Experience and / or Education Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience in product development, project management, consulting, marketing, communication, or similar customer-facing roles with growing responsibility over time.
  • Bachelor's degree with a Master's in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or similar preferred.
  • Compensation and Benefits Package

  • Targeted base salary : 80k - 95k per year, based on experience and qualifications, plus benefits and bonuses.
  • Benefits include the following but are not limited to health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. CSS also has a 403(b) plan with discretionary employer match and contributions. You will be eligible for 20 days of Paid Time Off per year (accrued in accordance with CSS's policies). PTO is in addition to 8 company designated holidays. If you are not PTO eligible, you may be eligible for applicable state and / or local sick and safe leave in accordance with the provisions of any applicable state and / or local sick and safe leave laws.
