What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Crisp?
We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our personal injury team. As a vital member of Cordisco & Saile, you will play a critical role in driving cases forward—supporting our attorneys through every phase of litigation with precision, dedication, and a deep sense of ownership. Your ability to manage a growing caseload, meet tight deadlines, and advocate for clients behind the scenes will directly contribute to the firm’s mission of delivering life-changing results for those we serve.
Cordisco & Saile’s impact extends far beyond the courtroom—it’s felt in every client’s life, every community we support, and every team member who helps make justice possible.
What you’ll do:
- Case Management: Manage and prioritize an initial caseload of approximately 30 active plaintiff personal injury cases, with the potential to handle 50-60 matters as you grow and mature into the role. Ensure every detail is tracked and deadlines are met from complaint filing through settlement or trial. Use Litify to organize and maintain case files, keeping information accurate and accessible.
- Drafting & Filing: Draft and file legal documents including Complaints, Pleadings, Discovery Requests/Responses, and Motions. Handle e-filing in PA, NJ, and Federal courts, ensuring timely submission and adherence to jurisdictional rules.
- Discovery Coordination: Oversee the discovery process, including managing document production, coordinating responses to discovery requests, and issuing subpoenas. Ensure attorneys have complete and organized materials ready for hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Communication & Coordination: Communicate clearly and proactively with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and third parties. Provide consistent case updates and support clients through the legal process with empathy and urgency.
- Trial Preparation Support: Support trial preparation by coordinating witnesses, preparing trial binders, and ensuring all exhibits and case materials are ready for courtroom use. Be available to attend trials as needed.
- Independent Workflow Management: Independently manage your workload with minimal supervision, balancing deadlines and priorities for two attorneys while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing legal team.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal in a plaintiff personal injury law firm.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with case management software (Litify preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Organizational Skills: Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to convey information clearly and professionally.
- Court Filing Knowledge: Experience with e-filing in PA, NJ, and Federal courts.
- Team Fit: A team player with a positive attitude, openness to learning new processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Self-Management: Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and adapt to shifting priorities without micromanagement.
- Core Values Alignment: Someone who is Passionate, Communicates Effectively, thrives as a Team Player, refuses to be Complacent, and takes full Accountability for their actions and results.
Why you should work here:
- Impact & Autonomy: Be part of a growing litigation team where your expertise and autonomy are respected—no micromanagement, just clear expectations and meaningful work.
- Growth Opportunities: Join a firm that values internal growth, offering career advancement opportunities for high performers.
- Collaborative Culture: Work in a collaborative, team-focused environment where everyone is aligned on doing great work and supporting each other.
- Flexibility & Balance: Benefit from flexible PTO and a leadership team that understands work-life balance—flexibility is given as long as trust is maintained.
- Influence Processes: Help shape the future of the firm by bringing your experience to the table and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
Additional perks:
- Health Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Time Off: Enjoy a flexible PTO plan, with the typical structure plus plenty of room to take care of life when needed.
- Growth & Reviews: Regular performance reviews with opportunities to expand your role and take on more responsibility.
