Crissair is looking for a Network Engineer with 2-4 years of previous experience to join our IT team!

Summary
This individual is responsible for both maintaining and troubleshooting computer networks and providing technical support to end-users. This role involves configuring network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as diagnosing and resolving network issues to ensure optimal performance and connectivity. Additionally, the role includes assisting users with hardware and software issues, providing timely and effective technical support, and maintaining detailed records of user interactions and system updates. The individual also implements and maintains network security protocols to protect data and systems, performs regular maintenance tasks, and supports users through various communication channels such as phone, email, and chat. This position requires a foundational understanding of networking concepts, familiarity with network hardware, basic troubleshooting skills, and strong customer service abilities to effectively assist users and maintain network integrity.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.
- Configure and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal connectivity.
- Perform regular network maintenance tasks, including updates and patches.
- Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, or chat.
- Quarterly travel to Tijuana Mexico facility to provide technical support for our Mexico operations.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users in two facilities.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of user accounts and permissions.
- Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect data and systems.
- Monitor for security breaches and respond to incidents promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of network configurations, changes, and issues.
- Document user interactions and resolutions in a ticketing system.
- Install and configure new hardware and software as needed.
- Perform system upgrades and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
- Test and deploy updates to ensure systems are up-to-date.
- Work closely with IT management to resolve complex issues.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing projects.
- Perform routine checks on network and system health.
- Proactively identify potential issues and address them before they escalate.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills.
- Provide training to users on new systems and software.
