Benefits : 403(b) matching, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Bereavement Leave, Parental Leave, up to 42.5% King's tuition discount for dependent children K-12 POSITION SUMMARY The CRISTA Resource Officer is responsible for advising and guiding all of CRISTA Ministries and Resource Departments in creating and maintaining a safe, secure Campus environment in alignment with CRISTA values. Provide a highly visible presence to proactively deter and identify criminal activity on campus and conduct training / in-class instruction focused on defense and violence prevention. Create Christ-centered relationships by partnering with parents and school staff to provide a biblical focus to any student behavioral issues. Build positive rapport and support with law enforcement and within the community with God-honoring interactions. Report to the CRISTA Resource Officer. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (General overview and may not include all details of responsibilities) DUTIES
Christ Centered Relationships :
- Partner with school counselors and administration to identify student behavioral issues and engage in biblical conversations with students and staff.
- Provide proper judgement and critical thinking that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with the mission and vision statement as well as the Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
- Initiate Christ-centered interactions with students, parents, and staff to help promote a positive connection between minority communities and law enforcement.
- Collaborate and provide expertise to CRISTA’s Security department on critical organizational issues and incidents that align with CRISTA’s values.
Crisis Management :
Serve as a leading advisor for CRISTA’s Crisis Management Support Team (CMST), designing effective systems, protocols, and responses for organizational wide needs.Collaborate with CRISTA’s Security department on safety plans for events and activities.Respond to critical incidents on campus, providing a “safety first” mentality for all staff, students, residents, and administration.Act as a deterrent to anyone who would bring violence to CRISTA Campus.Safety Training :
Identify, lead and educate administration on protocols for critical incident responses such as “Active Shooter,” campus lockdown or any threat of violence situations.Provide classroom-based instruction for students, faculty, and staff, focusing on violence prevention.Conduct instructional courses to Schools and CRISTA communities on safety / defense training and violence prevention.Administration :
Work with counselors and staff to provide students with referrals to service agencies as necessary.Identify safety and security risks and areas for improvement within facilities and campus environment.Act as a liaison between local police and CRISTA Administration.Be visible within the school community, attending and participating in school functions and events.Security Consultant liaison for all CRISTA properties.Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, and customers.
