POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the Security Officer is to assure a safe and secure environment for the residents, visitors, staff and property of CRISTA Ministries. Conduct routine random patrols of CRISTA property, respond to and investigate security related incidents, report safety hazards observed during patrol activity and appropriately documenting actions and observations noted during assigned shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

DUTIES
- Patrol assigned areas on foot and by vehicle.
- Identify and report all incidents and hazards in a prescribed manner.
- Respond effectively to instructions given by management and emergency personnel.
- Provide the highest degree of customer service, determining and responding to the needs of residents, visitors, and staff.
- Verbally communicate in an appropriate and effective manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of all private CRISTA-related information, including patient information.
- Function effectively as part of the Security team and work independently when necessary.
- Respond rapidly to emergencies.
- Work various shifts and overtime as necessary to accommodate department needs.
- Officer will timely complete all required documentation, following established procedures and using appropriate spelling and grammar.
- Maintain appearance standards as established by supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

- Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
- Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.).
- Prayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
- Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
- Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
- Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
- Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
- Valid Washington State driver’s license with clean driving record. Minimum age of 21, per insurance carrier requirements.
SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
- Able to interact with people of various cultures and diverse backgrounds.
- Able to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
- Physically able to work, stand, walk, and climb stairs for entire shift. Excellent hearing and eyesight.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE
- One year of security experience.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
- Valid Washington State driver’s license with clean driving record.
SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
- Basic technical understanding of existing security systems including access control, CCTV, and key control, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
