We are seeking qualified Hospitalist Medical Providers for a PRN position, offering flexibility and ongoing opportunities. Ideal candidates include those from family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with a solid background in general medicine.
- Coverage options include travel to perform exams at a leased facility or scheduling veterans within your own practice.
- Choose your preferred work schedule : 4-hour (half-day) or 8-hour (full-day) shifts.
- Responsibilities involve conducting one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Exams primarily include interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Please note : No prescribing or treatment will be required.
- Quick credentialing and onboarding process to get you started.
- DMA certification available, with the opportunity to earn CME credits; necessary to obtain once privileged if not already certified.
- Familiarity with the use of a Goniometer is essential.
- Proficiency required in musculoskeletal evaluations as well as understanding diabetes and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions is a must.
- A personal laptop is required for documentation (NO MACs).
- Training will be provided for all Reporting / Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs), which should be submitted within 48 hours of exam completion without narrative reports.
- Evaluation forms are completed through VES's provider portal.
- Record reviews will typically be required.
- Regular follow-up administrative work (including addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics) is expected.
Compensation Rates :
Salary : $500 - $1,200
