Job description
Critical Care and Pulmonary Consultants P.C. is an independent group of physicians. Our practice was established in 1996 and consists of hospitalists, intensivists, pulmonologists, and sleep disorder specialists.
We seek a motivated, dedicated Medical Receptionist with excellent customer service to become a part of our team! The right person will have a positive "can do" attitude with demonstrated care and concern for patient care. Our clinics are in Aurora, Thornton, and Englewood and our primary location is Thornton.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Enter demographic information and update changes for patients.
· Assist patients with appointments and questions.
· Greeting, check in, and check-out clinic patients as needed.
· Collecting copay, coinsurance, and deductible as assigned
· Check eligibility as needed
· Uploading forms in the patient’s chart and faxing documents
· Rescheduling duties as assigned.
· Opening and closing duties as assigned
· Additional duties assigned by management
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Prior experience verifying insurance and obtaining referrals is preferred.
- Prior experience scheduling appointments in an extensive medical practice is preferred.
- Electronic medical records experience
- Competent computer skills, grammar, and spelling.
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to follow changing protocols and processes necessary for practice improvement.
- Ability to work in a high-production environment.
- Excellent time management skills are required.
- Ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls with professionalism
- Ability to communicate with Patients, co-workers, and medical providers professionally and promptly
- Attention to detail
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual is a plus
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 1-year reception experience in a medical office
- Experience and knowledge of health insurance and eligibility are preferred.
- Medical experience & scheduling background preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Microsoft Office experience is required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Range hourly 20.00-23.00/hr
- Uniforms provided
- Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00am-4:00pm only, no weekends
Expected hours: 16-18 per week
