Critical Environment Technician

Job Summary
Critical Facilities Solutions is an international data center services company. Our extensive knowledge focuses on the infrastructure of data centers, which includes critical environment cleaning, janitorial and custodial services, and more.

We are looking for an individual with a janitorial or custodian background who wants to learn and push themselves beyond typical janitorial services. This position will be responsible for the cleanliness of an entire building and data centers including but not limited to common rooms, dining rooms, server and computer rooms, data halls, bathrooms, hallways, offices, conference rooms, and more. Data Centers are some of the most critical and secure buildings on the planet, mainly because of the vital data that is being processed within its walls. The ideal candidate will have a set daily/weekly/quarterly/annual routine with specific repeatable services to be performed on a schedule, but able to adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Duties

• Share a portion of the field technician’s duties as needed
• Responsible for the quality of service and timely completion of assigned jobs.
• Insure employees are trained and ready to perform their assigned duties.
• Provide on the job training for new employees. Give detailed instructions, advice and on-the-job demonstrations for work assignments. Verify that others have understood explanations and directions. Provide necessary tools and resources to complete work.
• Maintain the needed inventory for the work site each day. Ensure that all the equipment us in perfect working order and is clean.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed each day.
• Set an example of professionalism for others to follow, and strive for good, overall company morale by portraying a courteous positive attitude towards the customer and other employees.
• Take the initiative to act without the need for prompt. Recognize and address problems quickly and decisively.
• Must have the ability to manage customer requirements, determine priorities and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
• Meets commitments and adhere too company policies and procedures in relation to own work activities.
• Insure employees adhere to the policies and procedures in the CFS employee handbook.
• From time to time perform other duties as deemed necessary by the company.

Requirements

• The ability to direct activities of others in the best interest of the company
• A willingness to help and serve others and meet their needs
• The ability to define a course of action to accomplish work.
• Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
• Ability to perform physical specifications of the field technicians’ position as needed.
• Ability to converse in English. Bilingual is preferred but not required.
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule. Daytime, nighttime, late night and weekends can occur.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
