We are looking for an individual with a janitorial or custodian background who wants to learn and push themselves beyond typical janitorial services. This position will be responsible for the cleanliness of an entire building and data centers including but not limited to common rooms, dining rooms, server and computer rooms, data halls, bathrooms, hallways, offices, conference rooms, and more. Data Centers are some of the most critical and secure buildings on the planet, mainly because of the vital data that is being processed within its walls. The ideal candidate will have a set daily/weekly/quarterly/annual routine with specific repeatable services to be performed on a schedule, but able to adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete disinfectant cleaning each morning on entrances, offices, dining room areas, and other general area surfaces.
• Sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets from edge to edge.
• Clean hallway, office, and general area walls.
• Thoroughly dust or polish all vertical surfaces of office furniture, including desks, tables, chairs, file cabinets, credenzas, bookcases, etc.
• Shampoo carpets as needed.
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers.
• Restock disposables (e.g., soap, paper towels, etc.) (If applicable)
• Wipe mirrors and windows.
• Restocking custodial, kitchen, and shipping supplies.
• Clean inside and outside of refrigerator and microwave.
• Maintain outer premises by cleaning entrances.
• Operating, servicing, and cleaning machine equipment.
• Complete high-level dusting.
• Dust all accessible baseboards in cleanable areas.
• Use a floor scrubber to scrub floors.
• Empty and cleaning of trash receptacles.
• Taking out all trash in building to trash receptacle.
• Scrub clean all warehouse floors - Semiannual.
• Cleaning ‘White Space’ data hall floors and general surfaces (If applicable)
• Other cleaning duties per Scope of Service.
• PPE Will be required at first.
• Picking up trash and debris

Skills

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to correspond via email and phone.
• Ability to safely climb 6’ ladders at times.
• Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
• Knowledge of use of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
• High school diploma is preferred but not required.
• Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, working in cramped areas, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting to 50 lbs., carrying up to 40 lbs., and stooping.
• Must be able to perform repetitive motion for extensive amount of time.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work independently.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
