Oil and Gas Instrument Technicians may have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Inspect and test the operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults
- Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports
- Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment
- Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers’ specifications
- Consult with and advise operators
- Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Order supplies and maintain inventory
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
