Job Summary
Critical Health Connection LLC is seeking a Nurse Staffing Coordinator to manage and coordinate healthcare staffing needs efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring that healthcare facilities receive highly qualified nursing professionals when and where they are needed. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling high-pressure situations while maintaining excellent communication with both clients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Staff Scheduling & Coordination:
- Develop, manage, and adjust nursing staff schedules based on client needs and staff availability.
Recruitment & Placement Support:
- Work closely with recruiters to match nurses with appropriate assignments based on skills, credentials, and client requirements.
- Assist in onboarding new nurses by explaining scheduling procedures and expectations.
- Maintain an updated database of available nurses and their certifications.
Communication & Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between healthcare facilities and nursing staff.
- Quickly resolve scheduling conflicts, last-minute call-offs, and urgent staffing requests.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and employees to ensure satisfaction.
Administrative & Compliance Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of staffing assignments, timekeeping, and contract compliance.
- Monitor staff credentials, including licenses and certifications, to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Prepare staffing reports and assist in payroll processing as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in nurse staffing, healthcare scheduling, or medical office administration preferred.
- Knowledge of scheduling software and staffing best practices.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Office setting with potential remote work options.
- Must be available for on-call duties, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Coordinate shift coverage for hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with state labor laws, contract agreements, and facility-specific requirements.
