General Manager – Café & Bakery (Old Bridge, NJ Area)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead a well-established café and bakery in the Old Bridge, NJ area. This role is perfect for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, with a passion for team development and operational excellence.
As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving business performance, and fostering a strong team culture while ensuring exceptional service and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial & Business Operations:
- Develop and monitor budgets, operational plans, and sales/marketing strategies to drive profitability.
- Control labor and operational expenses, analyze financial variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Review P&L statements and develop action plans to optimize revenue and manage costs.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, hire, and train staff, ensuring alignment with company service standards.
- Lead and motivate a team to provide outstanding guest experiences.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support staff in career growth opportunities.
- Daily Café & Bakery Management:
- Oversee all aspects of food, beverage, equipment, and property management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, food handling protocols, and company policies.
- Maintain high levels of quality control, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Training & Employee Development:
- Implement and oversee training programs for all staff.
- Maintain open communication between departments, fostering teamwork and high morale.
- Address HR concerns and resolve employee relations matters as needed.

- Must be available for day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed.
