Experience in Civil Construction, Water/Wastewater Facility Construction Inspections, Industrial and/or Food and Beverage Wastewater Construction, Municipal/Public Sector Construction, Underground Construction, General Site Civil Construction and OSHA 10.

About the Role: CPES is looking for an onsite construction inspector with knowledge and experience with construction inspection of a broad range of construction services including general construction, utility construction, wastewater/potable water treatment plant construction, site civil projects, including sanitary/drinking water pipeline construction, and potable water tank construction. This role will require the inspector to serve as the site representative to oversee the construction of the designed work and to provide quality assurance/quality control oversight, document the daily activities, monitor safety, document construction progress with photos, review design drawings, manage RFI process, manage submittal process, liaison between the contractors engineers and owner, and provide general on site leadership for the project.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for onsite inspection and construction oversight services
· Effective communication skills are a must. Will be responsible for interaction with contractors, Owner, engineers, vendors, public agencies, inspection firms, and authorities having jurisdiction
· Need to have a solid understanding of reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications
· Ability to oversee and understand construction tasks on a day-to-day basis
· Perform quality Inspections and bring attention to the Engineer, Contractor, and Owner for deficiencies observed and facilitate solutions and corrections
· Ability to thoroughly document construction activities and provide daily report and photo documentation
· Coordinate with third party testing agencies for quality reviews and inspections
· Investigative fieldwork and sampling
· Ability to read and understand critical path schedules and manage work based on the overall project schedule
· Manage changes with technical implications as well as change conditions and change order process. Provide cost reviews and assist with change order negotiations
· Assist with vendor and material expediting to ensure on time deliveries
· Manage the punch list process
· Provide constructability and value engineering support
· Material and shop drawing submittal review and processing in cooperation with the Engineer
· Request for information (RFI) management in cooperation with the Engineer
· Document control
· O M manual and as builts oversight and monitoring
· Pay application reviews
· Closeout responsibilities
