Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager will play a leading role in C-Path's activities to establish and operate the Type 1 Diabetes Consortium. The Senior Project Manager will coordinate specified projects for the Type 1 Diabetes Consortium; provide financial oversight of the Type 1 Diabetes Consortium; maintain status and progress reports as needed and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Success in this role will require outstanding verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not currently supervise personnel but may in the future.

Manage day-to-day operational aspects of Consortium

Core Duties/Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of Consortium
- Manage a portfolio of projects complex in nature with function and organizational wide impact
- Develop and track project plans, timelines, budget, and milestones, and take corrective action when needed
- Prepare, facilitate, and provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Define and track action items and prepare minutes for project meetings
- Develop and foster good working relationships among project partners, funders, federal liaisons, and C-Path team members
- Write concise and accurate reports, proposals, and other supporting
- Ability to use Excel and other software to create and track budgets.
- Facilitate daily programmatic operations, teleconferences, webinars, and face-to-face meetings
- Ensure preparation of documents submitted to regulatory agencies and monitor the progress of regulatory review
- Facilitate obtaining consensus among stakeholders on key decisions
- Manage, prepare, track, and report on the project budget and expenditures
- Monitor and provide content for the project website
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Manage logistics for project meetings and related events
- Facilitate the negotiation and execution of project agreements
- Ensure the completion of all legal and financial obligations under the project agreements
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
- Occasional travel up to 5-10%
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned

- Has outstanding oral, written, and virtual communication skills, including fluency in health-related scientific and regulatory language and writing

- Effectively communicates with internal staff and external stakeholders and modifies actions based on recommendations and feedback
- Expert use of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proficiency with MS Project and/or SharePoint
- Proficient use of standard office meeting/communication software including Zoom or Teams
- A Bachelor's Degree in public health, business, or related scientific fields (biochemistry, immunology, chemistry, pharmacology). An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, PhD) is preferred
- PMP certification required
- 7 - 10 years of formal project management experience
