Production Manager/Planner

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient workflow within the manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of production management, supply chain dynamics, and operational efficiency to meet production goals while minimizing waste.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and resource availability.
• Collaborate with various departments including operations, supply chain, and plant management to ensure alignment on production goals.
• Analyze production processes and implement process improvement initiatives using lean methodologies.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure materials are available for production needs.
• Utilize systems for tracking production metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with team members to address scheduling conflicts or delays in the manufacturing process.
• Prepare reports on production performance and provide recommendations for enhancing operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and process improvement techniques.
• Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in using scheduling software and other relevant systems.
