Who You Are
As a dynamic and operations-focused Manager of Strategic Programs, you will lead and oversee multiple strategic initiatives with a focus on timely and accurate completion. Your role will involve providing analytical support, consulting, and cross-functional implementation leadership.
This position offers you a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in running a software company and working closely with the company's leadership team.
Your main responsibilities will include minimizing customer disruption and enhancing their perception of Critical Start's value proposition, encompassing products and services.
To excel in this role, you should possess a combination of hard analytical and soft people skills, allowing you to adapt to rapidly changing business needs. Your strengths in business process assessment, measurement, and re-engineering will be essential, as you leverage technology to implement effective business solutions.
Please note that this is a hands-on organizational role, where you will be expected to perform various functions, ranging from administrative processing to leading transformative change initiatives. Your ability to lead by example and embrace a "roll up your sleeves" approach will be crucial to your success in this role.
What You Will Be Doing?
- Lead cross-functional, high-impact projects as directed by the CEO:
- Collaborate with and coordinate among relevant functional executives to ensure effective project execution.
- Implement, coordinate, and enhance best practices across all functional areas for seamless operations.
- Manage and successfully implement strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth and improve company profitability and efficiency.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Determine, track, and report metrics that measure the successful implementation of various strategic projects and initiatives.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Proactively identify potential issues that could impact the company's successful execution and take a leadership role in resolving such challenges.
- Identify and communicate critical issues to the CEO, framing ideas to address problems or mitigate risks.
- Represent the company and the CEO in interactions with external parties to resolve issues and reduce risk exposure (e.g., de-risking strategic customer relationships).
- Serve as the point of contact for active or potential litigation issues, keeping the CEO and executive team informed.
Executive Support and Coordination:
- Coordinate interactions and provide support to the CEO and executive leadership team as needed (e.g., setting agendas for offsites, coordinating board meeting preparations, managing sell-side processes, etc.).
As the Manager of Strategic Programs, your role will play a crucial part in driving the company's success, promoting growth, and ensuring seamless operations across various functions. Your ability to lead, coordinate, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders will be instrumental in achieving the company's strategic goals.
This role can be remote with required travel to our Plano, Texas office atleast once a month.
What You Will Bring?
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA highly preferred.
- 9-12 years of experience in operations; consulting and software industry experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to implement business processes and activity-based metrics, with a focus on leading success indicators.
- Experience in managing and leading teams, in matrixed environments.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering multiple complex projects on time and within budget.
- Business and financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial principles and analysis.
- Proficient in analytical and quantitative skills, with great attention to detail.
- Resilience and ability to handle competing demands and conflicts.
- Proven success in a high-pressure, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in driving change in a matrixed environment.
- Executive presence and strong relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
