Who You Are

We’re looking for a Sales Operations and Systems Intern to join our team at our Plano, TX headquarters. This in-person internship runs from May 19, 2025, to August 22, 2025, with an expected commitment of 30 hours per week at a rate of $20.00 USD per hour. Please note that relocation and expense reimbursements are not provided for this position.

 

The Sales Operations team at Critical Start plays a crucial role in the company's revenue cycle, collaborating extensively across departments such as Marketing, Product, and Finance to drive growth initiatives. This highly collaborative team encompasses functions including Sales Support & Deal Desk, Business Intelligence, and Core Business Systems Administration, providing daily opportunities to learn and tackle new challenges.  Through cross-functional partnerships, policies, processes, and analysis are designed and managed to support Critical Start's strategies as the company continues to grow and evolve. 

What You Will Be Doing?

  • Acquire understanding of Sales processes and metrics, and contribute to the sales Operations team through data analysis, automation, and support. 
  • Learn how to utilize Salesforce, CPQ, and other sales productivity tools to support the team and enhance system efficiency. 
  • Demonstrate a goal-oriented and proactive approach in providing innovative solutions for Critical Start to grow, scale, and exceed revenue targets. 
  • Assist our data quality program to ensure account information for customers and prospects is accurate, complete, and consistent across sales and finance tools. 
  • Support Sales Operations’ alignment in facilitating cross-functional projects and company initiatives, collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand challenges and develop solutions. 
  • Become an integral member of the Sales Operations department, embodying a team-focused attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication to collaborative communication. 
  • Demonstrate expanding knowledge of business intelligence, finance, sales, and systems. 
  • Participate in weekly 1:1s with your mentor. 

What You Will Bring?

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters program with an accredited college with previous experience leading, influencing, and managing team projects. 
  • Proactive, motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Resourceful and able to leverage others on the team for assistance. Most importantly, able to assess when to seek help to maintain workflow. 
  • Well organized and capable of providing frequent status updates, identifying challenges or blockers, and communicating clearly and concisely. 
  • Possess a strong executive presence and an ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior field leadership, and the executive team. 
  • Desire to deepen knowledge of Sales & Revenue Operations, B2B Sales, and/or Business Intelligence.

  • Stationary position for extended periods of time.

  • Occasionally you may be required to move equipment or other items up to 20 lbs.

Mental:  

  • Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner. 
  • Make timely decisions in the context of workflow. 
  • Ability to complete tasks and perform in situations requiring speed deadlines, or productivity quota. 
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in high stress situations. 
  • Ability to simultaneously address multiple complex problems.

Compensation:

The total compensation range (hourly) being offered for this role is $20.00 USD/per hour.

 

Additional Compensation:

This role is not eligible for additional or other forms of compensation.
