Summary
As a Parent Educator at Crittenton Centers, you will play a vital role in supporting families through educational programs and resources. This position is essential in fostering healthy parenting practices and enhancing the well-being of children in our community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement parent education programs that address the needs of families.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and support to parents in various settings.
- Facilitate workshops and group sessions on effective parenting strategies.
- Collaborate with community resources to enhance support for families.
- Assess family needs and create tailored action plans for improvement.
- Monitor progress and provide ongoing feedback to parents.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and program outcomes.
- Advocate for families within the community to ensure access to necessary services.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field such as social work, child development, psychology, etc. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and crisis intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with parents and community partners.
- Ability to manage conflict and navigate challenging situations with empathy.
- Experience working with children and families in diverse settings is essential.
- A minimum of one full year of experience in early childhood education programs and service delivery to at-risk children and families
- Valid driver's license with the ability to drive and meet agency requirements for driving positions
- US citizenship required
