As the Development Manager, you will collaborate with the CEO and CFO to create and execute plans for fundraising activities within the agency. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Business or related field; preferred five years experience within a non-profit environment.
- Computer literate in publishing software, MS Office and general database.
- Well organized, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, ability to present to the public, exhibits professional manner in dealing with others, and flexibility above traditional working hours.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the CFO with the planning and implementation of the Development Plan with growth objectives, specifically regarding the overall fund development plan.
- Assists the CFO with the preparation of the Development budget and adheres to the prescribed annual budget.
- Reviews literature and researches funds available through grants from governmental agencies and private foundations to determine feasibility of developing programs to supplement annual budget allocations, capacity building and the general operational budget of the agency as assigned by the CFO.
- Consults routinely with program staff to assure congruence with grant writing and the goals and objectives of the programs.
- Writes grant applications according to the format required, with the assistance of the agency CFO regarding grant budget planning, in a timely fashion.
- Oversight of any necessary ongoing evaluations, reporting and/or monitoring of received grants.
- Works in conjunction with the Marketing Manager to manage details of annual giving drive and fundraising events within time and budgetary guidelines as needed.
- Prepare post event reports including reporting key statistical and financial data in a timely and accurate manner. Analyzes results to evaluate success and effectiveness of the event in collaboration with the CFO.
- Manage donor cultivation activities and gift solicitation, including but not limited to, corporate sponsorship, underwriting solicitation, and relationship building in conjunction with the CFO and the CEO.
- Management of the Neighborhood Investment Program.
- Oversee maintenance of the donor database and management of development records.
- Actively represents the agency to the community in a positive way to increase public awareness regarding Crittenton Services, through tours and donor cultivation.
- Will assist the CEO as directed in government relations.
- Regularly schedule tours to promote public awareness and donor cultivation in coordination with the CEO/CFO.
- Assist the CEO/CFO with the development of the Board of Director’s Public Relations, Development and Promotion Committee.
- Provide weekly reports to the management team and attend meetings as needed.
- Prepares monthly progress reports for the CFO and the Board of Directors.
- Be available as needed to attend events, speaking engagements etc. that might be out of the normal work schedule.
