As the Director of Marketing & Development, you will collaborate with the CEO to create and execute a strategy for marketing and fundraising initiatives for the agency. This includes grant solicitation, nurturing relationships with major donors and planned giving, managing branding and campaigns, and raising public awareness. Additionally, you will assign, plan, and supervise the tasks of the Marketing & Development Coordinator. Please note that this role may involve occasional work during evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (at least a Bachelor's degree in these areas) along with five years of experience in a nonprofit setting.
- Proficient in publishing software, MS Office, and general database management.
- Highly organized with outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to the public, clients, referral sources, and staff. Must demonstrate professionalism when interacting with others, flexibility beyond standard working hours, and possess strong leadership abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement a growth-oriented plan, particularly focused on fund development.
- Investigate funding opportunities while considering the agency's needs, and submit grant applications accordingly.
- Oversee ongoing evaluations, reporting, and monitoring for any grants received.
- Work alongside the Marketing & Development Coordinator and any contractors to manage details and create relevant fundraising materials for the annual fund, major giving, planned giving, and capital campaigns, adhering to time and budget constraints.
- Actively represent the agency positively within the community to enhance public awareness through fundraising, donor/speaking engagements, etc.
- Direct the agency's marketing and public relations efforts in collaboration with program directors, which includes writing press releases, overseeing the agency website, securing photos, and building relationships with media sources. This also involves creating and managing the agency communications plan to promote events, agency activities, and special projects.
- Manage the production of marketing and public relations materials with any contractors, including newsletters, direct mailings, program brochures, giveaways, logos, appeals, and the annual report.
- Support site directors in cultivating and maintaining referral relationships.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
