Job Overview

We are seeking a full time, year-round person to join our small locally owned and operated Critter Control team. The ideal candidate will have a background or familiarity with wildlife, pest control, construction trades (such as carpentry or roofing), customer service, or have a strong desire to learn. Experience is not required and we will train the right person. This role provides the right applicant the opportunity to start and end their day at home with a company vehicle. Our service area is from Kennebunk to Bangor and a significant amount of the day is driving from one customer to the next.

Duties

  • Complete daily tasks as scheduled.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and ladders to diagnose and solve wildlife conflicts.
  • Conduct wildlife control services as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Drive to various job sites to provide on-site service and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used for each job.
  • Provide excellent customer service through effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Skills

  • Basic knowledge in the use of hand tools, power tools, traps, and ladders.
  • Knowledge of wildlife control methods and safety practices.
  • Strong ability to drive safely to multiple locations as required by the job.
  • Previous experience in wildlife control or pest control is a bonus, but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
