Job Summary:
The Station Manager will oversee, plan and direct the daily operations of the airport terminal and ensure the safety and efficiency of the day-to-day activities are in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies. Ensure goals and objectives are achieved on a daily basis.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains new employees.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles corrective action and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, airline, and airport regulations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to coordinate various departments and staff to ensure efficiency and safety in all areas.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Extensive knowledge of operations and aviation management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Be willing to be trained as a Ground Security Coordinator.
- Be willing to become a qualified trainer.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a list of responsibilities so the station runs safely and efficiently.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Management of employees at assigned airport with respect to staffing needs, discipline, scheduling, training, and compliance with the standards of CRJ Aviation and their customer.
- Management of performance with respect to CRJ Aviation’s customers’ requirements and expectations.
- Instructs staff, leads, and supervisors to ensure proper workflow
- Performs audits of operations for safety risks and training needs.
- Responsible for the completion of administrative reports required by the customer and CRJ Aviation.
- Maintains supplies for all functions within the station.
- Oversees maintenance of station equipment and ensures quarterly PMs are conducted in a timely manner.
- Promotes a positive, inclusive, and team driven environment.
- Develop and implement fiscally responsible strategies within the operation.
- Maintains constructive working relationships with airport administration and CRJ Aviation’s customer
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- One to Five years of aviation experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate the assigned facility.
- Team Member is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands and fingers to operate various types of tools and equipment (i.e., hand trucks, carts, ramps, tugs, etc.).
- May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs.
- May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation (i.e., split shifts, delayed flights, etc.).
- Regular attendance is a requirement of the role.
- Exposure to heights, small spaces, extreme noise (i.e., airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations.
- Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to crawl in and out of small spaces for extended periods of time.
- Ability to wear personal protective gear.
- Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
